"Man I wish they had this when I was in High School.  What a great sport.  All four of my sons played this past spring and they loved it.  They can't wait for the 2010 spring season to start.  After the first week of practice, I went to Dick's and got my own stick and we got some goals for the back yard too.  Michelle and I love it."

KNIGHTS - 2011 "ON THE FIELD" SUCCESS...

Eastern KNIGHTS Lacrosse successfully completed their fifth season of play.  With 109 players and 17 PCA certified coaches, the KNIGHTS were Champions both on and off the field.

The KNIGHTS fielded four boys teams in the York County Lacrosse Association (YCLA) in the U-9, U-11, U-13 and U-15 age categories and had 75 boys from the Eastern York community participate.

The KNIGHTS introduced girls lacrosse and fielded two teams in York Girls Lacrosse (YGL) in the elementary school level (345 team) and the middle school level (678 team).  The KNIGHTS had 34 girls participate on the two teams.

The U-15 KNIGHTS captured their second U-15 YCLA Championship (with only one loss against all York County teams in the past two years).  The U-15 KNIGHTS were also awarded the Sportsmanship Award at the Spring Grove Lumberjax Tournament, their second award in three years.

The U-13 KNIGHTS finished with 13 victories and made it to the YCLA Championship dropping a tough one to York Suburban.

Both the Girls KNIGHTS teams had winning records for their first season of competitive play.

The Eastern York School District School Board voted to approve both boys and girls lacrosse as an interscholastic varsity sport for the spring of 2012.  Thanks to 175 Middle School and High School boys and girls playing intramural lacrosse at EYHS in the spring of 2011, the sport will now be offered to the students of EYHS.

We hope you take a few minutes to read about the KNIGHTS.  If you are considering trying lacrosse for the first time, WELCOME!  And if you are one of the many returning families, we look forward to having you back in our program this spring.
